Authorities in Southeastern Attica have arrested three individuals, aged 29, 31, and 54, in connection with a criminal organization involved in the smuggling of untaxed tobacco products. The arrests followed an investigation that revealed the group had been operating since at least July. During searches, police seized over 28,000 packs of cigarettes and various amounts of cash, with estimated unpaid taxes exceeding €168,000. The suspects have been referred to the Athens Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
