The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that more than one million people, primarily women and children, have been internally displaced in Syria since November 27, following a rapid assault by rebel forces led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. As of December 12, the humanitarian crisis has intensified, with significant numbers of people displaced across the country.
