Two Injured After Fairground Ride Malfunctions in Birmingham
Two women were hospitalized following a malfunction of the City Flyer ride at a fair in Birmingham’s Centenary Square, which reportedly dropped to ground level while in operation. Emergency services responded swiftly, cordoning off the area and treating other bystanders. Witnesses described seeing injured individuals walking away from the scene, raising concerns about the safety of amusement rides. The City Flyer, one of the tallest rides in the vicinity, is operated by Danter Attractions.
