Netanyahu expressed that the relationship had deteriorated due to significant gaps in managing military campaigns and actions that conflicted with government decisions. In his response on social media, Gallant reiterated his lifelong commitment to Israel’s security. Following this decision, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich will assume the defence portfolio, while Gideon Sa’ar takes on the role of foreign minister.
