A coroner has determined that Daniel Burke, a former British soldier who went to Ukraine to support local forces, was unlawfully killed. The 36-year-old from Manchester was murdered by someone he considered a comrade. The inquest revealed that an Australian national is the primary suspect and is currently wanted by Ukrainian authorities after fleeing the scene. Coroner Zak Golombeck praised Burke’s bravery while condemning the actions that led to his death.
