Pedro Martinez Losa Departs as Scotland Women’s Head Coach After Euro 2025 Qualification Failure

Pedro Martinez Losa has stepped down as head coach of the Scotland women’s national football team following their failure to qualify for Euro 2025. The team was eliminated by Finland in the play-offs and also missed the 2023 World Cup. Despite a new contract signed last year securing his position until the 2027 World Cup, the Scottish FA has decided to end his tenure early as they seek a new coach to prepare for upcoming Nations League matches. SFA chief executive Ian Maxwell expressed gratitude for Losa’s efforts.
