EU to Consider Sanctions Against Russian Agents Linked to Hybrid Attacks

On Monday, EU foreign ministers will decide on potential sanctions against agents of Russian intelligence services accused of hybrid attacks within the European Union. The sanctions may include asset freezes and entry bans targeting about 16 individuals and three entities. The EU and NATO accuse Moscow of trying to destabilize the West through sabotage, arson, and cyberattacks, particularly during election periods. Additionally, the ministers will formally approve a 15th sanctions package aimed at Russian oil sales via ‘invisible’ tankers.
