Noè Ponti, the 23-year-old Swiss swimmer, shattered his own record by finishing the 100m butterfly final in 47.71 seconds at the Short Course World Championships in Budapest. This victory marks his third gold medal in just one week, bringing his total to six medals at short course world championships. Ponti expressed disbelief and emotion during the victory interview, having surpassed the previous world record held by American swimmer Caeleb Dressel since 2000.
