On the night of December 14, three elderly individuals were trapped in their homes due to heavy rainfall in the Nicopolis area of Preveza. Rapid intervention by the Fire Department was crucial, successfully rescuing the individuals. A couple, ages 97 and 94, were transported to the hospital for urgent medical care, while a 90-year-old woman was safely relocated to her yard to be picked up by her son. Additional rescue operations are ongoing to address flooding issues in the region.
