During the final day of the 2025 budget discussions in the Hellenic Parliament, SYRIZA President Socrates Famellos criticized the New Democracy government for its handling of the economy, highlighting issues faced by working families due to low wages and rising costs. He pointed out that 70% of salaried workers earn less than 950 euros per month, making it challenging for families to make ends meet. Famellos also noted the low coverage of collective agreements in Greece compared to the rest of Europe.
