Concerns Raised Over Teacher Shortages in Cyclades Schools
Meropi Tsoufi, a Member of Parliament from Ioannina representing the New Left, has submitted a complaint letter from the A’ ELMEC Cyclades to the Minister of Education, highlighting significant teacher shortages in Cyclades schools. Despite the academic year beginning three months ago, there are around 80 vacancies, particularly in special education and various teaching specialties. Several schools have inadequate or no physics classes, and students in Milos have been without arts and music education for seven years, leaving many special needs students without necessary support.
