Safety Concerns Raised Over New Coastal Road in Thessaly
The Popular Unity of Thessaly is urging the regional authority to intervene with the company constructing the road connecting the coasts of Larissa and Magnesia. Following recent landslides, the group highlighted safety issues even before the road, costing €15 million and set to open in summer 2025, has been completed. They criticized both the current and previous regional administrations for inadequate support structures, which have allowed rock and soil landslides, jeopardizing the safety of local farmers and drivers.
