The Regional Council of Peloponnese has approved new emergency response plans aimed at managing the consequences of earthquakes and flooding. The plans clarify responsibilities and establish coordination bodies for flood and snowstorm events. Notably, the Governor of Peloponnese, Dimitris Ptochos, highlighted the creation of a master plan for flood protection, which includes early warning systems funded locally and combines flood prevention with irrigation projects.
