The Thessaloniki Union of Fuel Sellers has refused to play the role of law enforcement by banning the sale of fuel to motorcycle riders not wearing helmets, as stated by board member Georgios Gavriilidis. He emphasized that the responsibility lies with authorities like the police and traffic officers, not fuel sellers. Gavriilidis also discussed the importance of traffic education starting at home and school to instill better safety habits in future generations.
