New Educational Measures for the Rehabilitation of Minors through Sports in Greece
Greek Justice and Sports Ministers introduced new educational measures aimed at integrating minors with mild delinquency into amateur sports activities. The initiative focuses on using sports as a tool for reintegration, fostering positive role models, and enhancing self-esteem among youth. A pilot implementation is currently underway in five regions, with initial participation from minors in Lassithi. The program emphasizes the involvement of Youth Supervisors and aligns with the goal of steering youth away from criminal behavior toward constructive activities.
