Greek Authorities Disrupt Major Crime Syndicate Led from Prison
Authorities in Greece have dismantled a significant crime syndicate led by a 44-year-old Albanian inmate known as ‘Monty’ from within his prison cell. The gang, originating from Ioannina prison, has been involved in drug trafficking, extortion, and various violent crimes. Key members include his 21-year-old Greek second-in-command and a 20-year-old Albanian nephew. A recent police operation seized over a kilogram of cocaine, 32 kilograms of cannabis, and other illegal substances.
