Irish Property Prices Continue to Surge, Up 9.7% Over Past Year

According to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office, property prices in Ireland rose by 9.7% in the year leading to October. Dublin experienced a notable increase of 10.4%, while home prices outside the capital rose by 9.2%. The median price for a home reached €350,000, with significant regional variations. Despite warnings from the Economic and Social Research Institute about market overvaluation, prices have surged by 156.9% since early 2013, indicating ongoing challenges in housing accessibility and pricing sustainability.
