Students in Kavala Perform Aesop’s Fable in Pontic Greek

In the traditional Pontic village of Kehrokampos in Kavala, seven students aged 6-10 performed Aesop’s fable ‘The Miller and His Cat’ in flawless Pontic Greek. The one-hour musical and dance show impressed audiences, with some students not being of Pontic descent. According to Nopi Georgiadou, president of the Parents’ Association, Aesop’s fables are always educational, teaching respect and care for the elderly, as emphasized in this performance. The school has staged three theatrical performances over the past three years.
