On December 18, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis signed a contract for the expansion of the Ionian Highway from Ioannina to Kakavia, which he called crucial for regional development and connectivity with Albania. The project aims to enhance road safety and bolster trade and cultural relations between Greece and Albania, further integrating the region. Mitsotakis emphasized the strategic importance of Albania’s EU integration process and its role in supporting the rights of the Greek national minority.
