Four Arrested in Cocaine Trafficking Case in Thessaloniki
Four foreign nationals have been detained in Thessaloniki after being caught with 46 kilograms of high-purity cocaine concealed in a banana shipment. The cocaine is believed to have originated from Ecuador and was destined for various European countries, with a wholesale value estimated at 1.3 million euros. A key suspect, a 32-year-old Venezuelan, was arrested at Thessaloniki International Airport. All detainees denied involvement, but the Venezuelan initially confessed to some actions regarding the drugs before recanting in front of a judge. All four remain in custody.
