Greece’s Digital Governance Plans Address Youth Internet Addiction
Demosthenes Anagnostopoulos, Secretary General for Digital Governance, discussed the Greek government’s strategy to combat internet addiction among youth during an interview. Emphasizing the significance of regulated internet access and content restrictions, he outlined plans for age verification and the provision of necessary tools for parents. Anagnostopoulos also highlighted the importance of educating children on responsible online behavior, particularly in managing emotional responses. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is set to present a comprehensive plan regarding digital maturity age limits by December 30.
