Swiss Federal Audit Office Calls for Oversight Committee for Defense Department Projects
The Federal Audit Office recommends that the Swiss Federal Council establish an oversight committee for the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports (VBS) due to the critical state of numerous ICT projects. Despite this, the Federal Council has decided not to create a new oversight body, continuing to rely on existing frameworks. The VBS is currently managing 22 significant ICT projects valued at CHF 4.95 billion, with various risks identified in delivery and implementation.
