She highlighted that over 80% of Mayotte’s economic infrastructure has been devastated by Cyclone Chido and requested concrete measures, including housing for employees, to aid in reconstruction efforts. Additionally, Baltus noted the challenges posed by low insurance coverage in the region, with only 10% of properties insured, complicating recovery efforts.
