An exhibition titled ‘Textile, Fashion, and Tailoring in Syros during the 19th and 20th Century’ is currently being hosted at the Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis. It highlights the work of seamstresses and tailors, particularly in the 20th century, showcasing urban garments made by local craftsmen. The exhibition features various tools, materials, and notable artifacts from family collections and donations, focusing on Western-style clothing produced by ‘Frangorafdes’, skilled artisans of the time.
