European Council President Antonio Costa emphasized the EU’s commitment to support Ukraine in achieving a lasting and just peace following a recent summit. He condemned Russia’s aggressive warfare as a violation of international principles and announced that the EU will provide 30 billion euros to Ukraine by 2025. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, reiterated the full backing of the EU for Ukraine and suggested that the accession negotiations could begin if progress continues. The EU remains united in its support against pressures from Russia.
