The Ionian Merchant Marine Academy is set to be modernized with a total investment of €2.66 million, including €1.73 million from the European Structural Funds for upgrading laboratories. An additional €250,000 donation from the Martinos Foundation will facilitate renovations, while €686,330 is allocated for energy efficiency improvements. These efforts aim to meet the demands of the local community and enhance maritime education standards.
