The new headquarters for the Ionian Islands region was inaugurated today in the old courthouse. National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias and Interior Ministry Deputy Minister Vasilis Spanakis attended the ceremony. Regional Governor Giannis Trepekis highlighted the significance of the new building, which ends years of renting at a high cost and is expected to save approximately 8 million euros annually for the region. He described the day as a celebration for the community, showcasing the completed renovation work that enhances the identity of the region.
