The French Competition Authority has approved Editis’ acquisition of Delcourt, a leading comic book publisher, after determining that the merger would not harm competition in the publishing sector. Editis had been in exclusive negotiations with Delcourt since July. The Authority noted that both companies have limited market shares and that their activities are complementary, providing sufficient alternatives in the book chain.
