Thomas Coville and the crew of the maxi-trimaran Sodebo Ultim 3 have embarked on a second attempt to conquer the Jules Verne Trophy and break the world sailing record. They departed from Ouessant on December 20, after a window of opportunity materialized following a ‘code orange’ alert. Accompanied by a skilled team, Coville returns for his tenth circumnavigation, aiming to surpass the record set by Francis Joyon in 2017. This effort follows a previous setback due to significant damage to their vessel.
