Reform of France’s RSA Program to Enhance Employment Insertion
Starting January, France will enroll all beneficiaries of the Active Solidarity Income (RSA) in France Travail, increasing those registered as job seekers by 1.2 million, including 200,000 youth. Beneficiaries must sign a personalized ‘commitment contract’ requiring 15 to 20 hours of weekly activities aimed at social and professional integration. A new waiting category, G, will be created during orientation, while the F category targets those in social integration pathways. The program has shown promising results, with over half of the supported individuals gaining employment.
