The 35th Eidgenössisches Musikfest will take place in Biel from May 14 to 17, 2026, after Interlaken withdrew from hosting due to economic reasons. This marks the fest’s return to Biel 50 years after its first edition there. The Swiss Brass Band Association confirmed that 487 associations have already registered, expecting over 25,000 musicians and tens of thousands of visitors. The festival, held every five years, is regarded as the largest brass music festival in the world.
