Parties in Germany Agree on Fair Election Campaign Guidelines Ahead of Bundestag Elections
As the Bundestag elections approach, major political parties in Germany have established a Fairness Agreement aimed at promoting respectful and truthful campaigning. The agreement includes commitments to avoid personal attacks, false claims, and extremist influences, while advocating for a peaceful election environment both offline and online. Notably, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) and the Citizens’ Movement (BSW) did not participate in the agreement.
