During the last weekend before Christmas, French athletes excelled in biathlon and alpine skiing. In the Coupe de France, lower-division teams pulled off surprising victories against Ligue 1 clubs, including Montpellier’s stunning 4-0 loss to Le Puy. In skiing, Lindsey Vonn made her return to competition, finishing 14th in the Super-G. French skier Léo Anguenot achieved a remarkable second-place finish in the giant slalom in Alta Badia, marking his first podium in the World Cup.
