UNESCO has launched a month-long training program for over 9,000 influencers from 160 countries aimed at combating misinformation and hate speech online. In partnership with the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, the program, titled ‘How to be a trusted voice online,’ provided participants with tools to verify sources and detect false information. The training is interactive and accessible in four languages, enabling participants to engage and share experiences. Experts emphasize the importance of reliable content creation and collective responsibility in combating misinformation.
