Modern Revival of Puccini’s La Bohème Captivates Christmas Audience in Athens
The National Opera of Greece presents a contemporary production of Giacomo Puccini’s famous opera ‘La Bohème’, set against the festive backdrop of Christmas in Athens. Directed by the late Graham Vick, the opera explores the poignant love story between poet Rodolfo and his seamstress neighbor Mimi, symbolizing the struggles of poverty and the enduring themes of love, solidarity, and friendship. With the music conducted by Jacques Lacombe, the production features notable performances by Italian tenor Ivan Magrì and Korean soprano Anna Son. Tickets for January and December performances are sold out, but limited availability remains for March dates.
