Increased Consumer Activity in Thessaloniki’s Shops Ahead of Holidays

As the holiday season approaches, foot traffic in commercial stores in Western Thessaloniki and Evosmos has increased significantly, with around 2,000 stores drawing shoppers from nearby areas. Retailers expect a spike in sales during the festive period. Despite a 3% decrease in the average price for Christmas shopping baskets, some products remain expensive, particularly turkey and lamb, which have seen the largest price reductions.
