Israel is urging its diplomatic missions in Europe to push for the designation of the Houthi rebels in Yemen as a terrorist organization, citing their threats not only to Israel but to regional and global stability. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar emphasized that the Houthis have launched drones and missiles at Israel while expressing solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. The Houthis, who control significant parts of Yemen, have also targeted vessels they perceive as linked to Israel, the U.S., or the U.K. in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
