She received alerts on her phone and viewed the live footage of the intruders but was unable to contact local police directly. Although the police arrived later, the burglars had already fled. In a separate incident in Lançon-Provence, video surveillance played a crucial role in capturing a thief, as tenants notified gendarmes while monitoring the suspect’s actions remotely.
