Severe Snowstorm Leaves Over 200,000 Homes in Bosnia and Herzegovina Without Power on Christmas

On Christmas Day, more than 200,000 homes in Bosnia and Herzegovina were left without electricity due to a continuing snowstorm that struck the region. The storm has caused widespread outages particularly in the northwest and central areas. Despite teams working tirelessly to restore power, many roads remained closed, isolating communities. Similar weather issues were reported in neighboring Croatia and Slovenia, where emergency services had to rescue individuals trapped by snow. Power was mostly restored to affected homes in western Serbia by the end of the day.
