Avian Flu Case Detected in Poultry Farm in France
An avian flu case has been identified at a poultry farm in La Poterie-Mathieu, near Pont-Audemer, prompting local authorities to implement strict measures to prevent the virus’s spread. A protection zone has been established within a three-kilometer radius, affecting eight municipalities, while an additional surveillance area of ten kilometers impacts around thirty more communities. Poultry must remain confined, with immediate reporting of any symptoms or animal deaths required. All gatherings and sales of live poultry are banned, and culling of infected animals has begun.
