Conor Benn’s Suspension Lifted After Two-Year Doping Battle
Welterweight boxer Conor Benn has had his provisional suspension lifted following an extensive two-year dispute with UK Anti-Doping (Ukad) and the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC). Benn, who remains unbeaten with a 23-0 record, had faced allegations after testing positive for the banned substance Clomifene. The National Anti-Doping Panel found insufficient evidence of wrongdoing, allowing him to claim he is ‘cleared of any wrongdoing.’ Despite this development, Ukad is considering an appeal against the decision within the next 21 days. Benn has been a vocal supporter of clean sport throughout the ordeal.
