Greece Launches New Tax Administration System with TAXIS Project
The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) in Greece has announced the implementation of the TAXIS project, marking a significant shift in tax administration. The new Unified Integrated Tax Information System aims to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and support entrepreneurship by modernizing existing tax systems. The project, with a budget of approximately €86.18 million and a duration of five years, is set to improve the efficiency of tax collection and taxpayer services, with initial subsystems expected to be operational by the end of 2026.
