Legendary Gymnast Agnes Keleti Passes Away at 103

Agnes Keleti, a legendary figure in gymnastics and the world’s oldest living Olympic champion, has died at the age of 103. Born in Budapest and part of a Jewish family, she won five Olympic gold medals, including one in Helsinki in 1952 and four in Melbourne in 1956. Her promising career faced disruptions due to discriminatory laws in Hungary, and she survived the Holocaust. After a significant career, she emigrated to Israel and often returned to her homeland following Hungary’s democratic shift.
