Two serious cases of acute intoxication among minors were reported in Ioannina during New Year’s Eve, prompting police intervention and arrests. A 14-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition after drinking alcohol and energy drinks with his father, who was subsequently arrested for child endangerment. In another case, a 15-year-old consumed alcohol at a venue and required hospitalization, leading to the arrest of the venue owner for selling alcohol to a minor. The arrested individuals will face prosecution in Ioannina.
