Since the onset of the Gaza conflict on October 7, 2023, Houthi forces have launched multiple missile and drone strikes against Israel, claiming to act in solidarity with Palestinians. The Israeli military intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, amidst escalating tensions, and has retaliated with strikes on Yemeni targets, including Sana’a International Airport. The Houthis, supported by Iran, also targeted vessels associated with Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
