A mild earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale was recorded today by the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens. The seismic event occurred at 1:58 PM Greek time, 349 km south of Athens, with the epicenter located 52 km southwest of Palaiochora, Chania.
