Man Sentenced to Life for Cowardly One-Punch Murder Outside South Wales Pub
Christopher Cooper, 39, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 64-year-old Kelvin Evans, whom he punched in a fit of rage outside a pub in Swansea. The attack was triggered by Cooper’s belief that Evans was mocking his partner’s karaoke performance. Judge Geraint Walters described the act as cowardly and highlighted Cooper’s boastful attitude following the incident. Kelvin Evans died a month later from his injuries, while Cooper’s partner, Catherine Tracy Francis, received a two-year sentence for assisting an offender.
