The Committee to Protect Journalists reports that at least 15 journalists have died while covering the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Recently, independent journalist Alexander Martemianov was killed by a Ukrainian ‘kamikaze’ drone attack in eastern Ukraine. He was returning from Gorlivka when his vehicle was struck, resulting in fatal injuries. The organization is currently investigating further incidents involving journalist fatalities in the region.
