In 2025, Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) will deploy 1,600 additional trains to accommodate major events, including the UEFA Women’s EURO and Eurovision Song Contest. This marks a significant increase from the 650 trains used in 2024. With an estimated 900,000 visitors expected at these events, SBB will also provide 2,000 staff support to enhance customer service despite challenges from ongoing construction work. The events are set to take place in multiple locations across Switzerland, highlighting the country’s commitment to efficient public transport during large gatherings.
