Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, is scheduled to visit the occupied region of Cyprus on January 8 and 9. Discussions with the Turkish Cypriot leadership will focus on the developments regarding the Cyprus issue, in anticipation of a meeting hosted by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Switzerland in the coming months, involving both communities and the three guarantor powers: Greece, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
